"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Gaaah, what is it with people submitting friggin tiny images on this site. Browsing through the new stuff, most of the submissions (literally more than half) are less than 800x600. Come on people, 800x600 is pitiful, and most of the submissions are even smaller! I see so many thumbnails that look amazing, and I think man, that will make an awesome wallpaper... then I mouseover them and see "532x385." Terrible.
When I got my first camera about 2 years ago, I took tons and tons of photos. Most of my first posts will be from those ones. I haven't been very inspired to take photos lately, but I'm hoping to change that and start taking more.
